Programmable Cryptex
December 2018
This puzzle box was inspired by the Da Vinci cryptex. My version was designed to be a piece used in escape rooms, therefore it is very versatile. Not only is it programmable, enabling the owner to constantly reuse it in different escape rooms, it also features six letter rings instead of five. Each of these rings contains a full alphabet plus a blank space. This enables the programmer to create codes between two and six letters long making the possibilities endless. This entire project was modelled by myself from scratch and printed on my own desktop 3D printer.
